Time to Celebrate the Season in Northern Ohio

Time to Celebrate the Season in Northern Ohio

DID SOMEONE SAY APPLE PIE?

It’s that time of year again when Ohioans celebrate the harvest of Ohio apples; those perfect pieces of fruit that we can eat right off the tree, slice them up and bake them or cook them down to make apple butter or applesauce.  Many childhood memories include a ride to a local orchard to pick one’s own apples.  Who doesn’t remember bobbing for apples at Halloween, or the smell of a fresh baked apple pie just waiting to be eaten?

This year NorthernOhioTourism.com challenges you to partake in Ohio’s apple season by enjoying a local apple festival, stopping by a local orchard to pick your own apples, bake an apple dish using Ohio apples, or sample Ohio apple cider.

To help you get started we have compiled a list of local apple orchards which can be found by clicking here. We have also added links to a few of our favorite apple recipes.

There are nine (9) area apple festivals we think will make for a fun day to enjoy with family and friends.  They include:
