Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market Getting Ready For 2015 Season

Tuscarawas Valley Farmers MarketThe Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market, held at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds every Wednesday (rain or shine) from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., is proud to announce the opening of their 7th season on June 3rd, 2015! This all volunteer-run market is designed to bring together families, neighbors, visitors, and local food producers to create a sense of community, enhance our quality of life, and strengthen our economy.

The Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market is a producers only market; all product is grown or produced within 50 miles of Dover, Ohio by the vendors themselves and vendors are required to secure all necessary licenses and permits for their product. Visitors can be secure in knowing where their food comes from and how it was produced.

While shopping at the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market, you and your family can take a break to enjoy delicious wood-fire pizza created by Bahler Street Pizza or visit one of many food trucks for a healthy meal. The Market provides numerous picnic tables where visitors can escape the summer sun and local musicians are brought in every week to entertain. More than a mere shopping experience, the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market seeks to bring people together for a fun afternoon.

In addition to shopping, dining and entertainment options, the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market also provides learning experiences! Don’t know how to prepare that strange new vegetable you saw earlier? Consider stopping by each week for a cooking demonstration, where the Market brings in a local chef or restaurateur to showcase new and innovative ways to dine.

Above all else, the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market wants to be there for visitors. The market’s hours afford people the ability to patronize the market after work and their location is easily accessible to the public. The Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds offer plenty of parking, public restrooms, and volunteers keep the grounds clean. The Market accepts cash, all major credit cards, Ohio WIC, and the Ohio Direction Card in addition to having an ATM on-site.

Eating local and healthy has never been easier. The Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds is located at 259 South Tuscarawas Avenue in Dover, just off I-77 Exit 83.
