During the summer months, there are festivals almost every weekend. Ethnic festivals include Simply Slavic Heritage Festival, Greater Youngstown Italian Fest, Spanish Heritage Festival and Arab American Festival. You can feast on ethnic delights from across the world right here in Youngstown.

Art lovers will enjoy Youngstown State University’s annual Summer Festival of the Arts, a 2-day showcase of the best in regional art. The Shaker Woods Festival takes you back to a simpler time, and the end of summer is marked each year by the Canfield Fair. Now in its 169th year, the Canfield Fair is the largest County Fair in Ohio, featuring agriculture, arts, rides, games, delicious food, and top-name entertainment in the grandstand.

Simply Slavic Heritage Festival – June 20

This festival is a celebration of all ethnic groups from the European Slavic region. Enjoy food, music, dancing and crafts.

YSU Summer Festival of the Arts – July 11 & 12

This two-day arts & crafts festival features over 70 regional and national artists with music and dance performances.

Greater Youngstown Italian Fest – July 31 – August 2

Spanning out over 7 city blocks, the Fest has two tents of entertainment running throughout the weekend and over two city blocks of amusements and rides. Enjoy over 40 food vendors with everything from carnival foods to gourmet Italian foods.

Shaker Woods Festival – August 8-9, 15-16, & 22-23

This popular festival features over 200 of the best juried craftspeople in the country. Each craftsperson will be dressed in Shaker period clothing while demonstrating and selling their remarkable handmade wares. Enjoy great country cooking and entertainment.

Youngstown Spanish Heritage Festival – August 14-16

This festival is fun for the whole family with music, dancing and ethnic foods representing traditional and modern Spanish Heritage from all Spanish speaking countries.

169th Canfield Fair – September 2-7

Experience the largest county fair in Ohio with exhibits, rides and great food. Enjoy special entertainment in the grandstand.

Arab American Festival – August 22

This festival offers live music, food, dancing, cultural displays and representation of Arab Nations.
