Youngstown is Sparkling for the Holidays!

Youngstown is Sparkling for the Holidays!

Revisit the best holiday memories from your childhood at The Arms Family Museum in Youngstown. Memories of Christmas Past, the annual holiday spectacular, is celebrating its 11th anniversary! Breath-taking vignettes featuring vintage Christmas decor from the 1800s through the 1960s fill seven rooms of the 1095 Arts & Crafts mansion of Olive and Wilford Arms. This one-of-a-kind winter wonderland rivals the best of the professional holiday displays as seen in New York City, Chicago, and Atlanta. Exquisitely arranged, the display includes toys, trains, ornaments, lights, dolls, furniture, trees, antiques and more. Every year visitors remark that the vignettes bring back so many nostalgic childhood memories.

Visitors on the self-guided tour are welcome to make multiple passes through the period rooms, as well as visit the second floor local history exhibits. The Christmas Hands-On History Room will feel like walking into Santa’s Workshop in the North Pole, with elves, reindeer games and even a naughty and nice list. For more details, visit www.memoriesofchristmaspast.com. The Arms Family Museum is located at 648 Wick Ave., Youngstown, OH 44502.

Memories of Christmas Past opens on Saturday, November 17, 2018, and runs through Sunday, January 6, 2019. Hours for the museum are Tuesdays through Sundays, 12:00pm to 4:00pm; and Thursdays 12:00pm to 7:00pm. The museum is closed Mondays and holidays.
